The Boat House Palm Beach

I'm not sure I need to write anything today.  This is a classic case of, 'a picture says a thousand words'. Here are some shots I took, at the Boat House in Palm Beach, Sydney, when I met my girlfriend there for lunch last week.

If you are just here for some seaside eye candy, scroll down because this place really is located in paradise......Details for the Boat House at Balmoral Boat House are at the bottom of this post.

Details you may need for a trip to the Boat House in Palm Beach:

Cafe and Bar: Offering an excellent range of modern Australian cuisine for breakfast and lunch at modest prices. The Boat House is licensed and BYO, wine only.  Also available at the Boat House, are market fresh flowers, bread, milk, deli items, daily newspapers and great coffee, which is of particular convenience, if you are boating in Pittwater.

Parking: Plenty of parking, which is ticketed.  Cars bearing a Pittwater parking sticker, park for free.

Boat Hire: Barrenjoey Boat Hire operates out of the same building.  You can hire kayaks, stand up paddle boards and small fishing boats daily.

Other attractions: Palm Beach Golf links, which are adjacent to The Boat House.  You can also walk up to Barrenjoey Light House and take a guided tour inside the light house and heritage buildings on Sundays, via NSW National Parks.

There is lots of eye candy here.  Go and make a cup of coffee and come back for some visual splendour. You won't regret it.

This is my idea of how to style a cafe and bar.  It is a treat for all the senses.  The food is fabulous too.  Just be sure to arrive earlier in the week, as for me, Friday and the weekends are chaotic.

Lobster pots are scattered throughout the garden, embellishing the nautical location of the cafe.Note to self:  I must get one for the Beach House deck.

The entrance to the Boat House is crowded out with flowers, fruit boxes, lobster pots, banana trees and palm fronds all adding a layered texture of colour and interest.

I love pineapples grouped together, they just shout out 'tropical'.

Trays of fruit and vegetables make a stunning and often more affordable alternative to flowers

Pineapples and chilli plants grouped together, add texture and a splash of colour.

Inside the cafe, which has recently been enlarged, guests are treated to a continuation of the visual delight, that begins the minute you park your car.

There is so much going on visually here. The striped wall paper juxtaposed against the pink frangipani.  The lobster pot light fitting.  The communal dining table, with different conversations under way. I think this shot illustrates, how you can go big in a small space, very successfully.

Bottles and lolly containers are stacked, adding to the visual intrigue, whilst also using valuable space as storage.

A fabulous bespoke water dispenser for guest to help themselves.
Of course, the beautiful view speaks for itself.

The potted agave, stacked with logs and succulents, is another perfect example of how you can up size your props in a narrow space, to great effect.

The yellow wind monitor indicates the wind direction to the small sea plane, which lands at the end of the wharf on the hour.

And how about the bar? That champagne looks like it has my name on it.
