Frangipani Fantastic

On my morning work I passed this lovely tropical garden.

My frangipani was only planted six months ago and would be considered no more than a cutting.  It certainly hasn't flowered yet. So I picked up the reasonable looking flowers that had dropped to the ground from this sunny specimen.  I could feel a beachy table centre piece coming on. 

A couple of girlfriends were dropping around for a quick coffee catch up, before the start of the school holidays, so I put together a coffee morning tablescape in honour of the frangipani and the palm tree.

The frangipani is coming to the end of its season here in Sydney.  It's passing heralds the end of Summer.  But while it is still around, for me it means bikinis, sarongs and the bare foot boulevard of dreams.

The beautiful blue tea lights and bees wax insert candles, turned up on my door step last week.  Sent as a thank you, by a beautiful girlfriend who had dined here the night before .  The oar was a little present to self, as a girl has to indulge occasionally.

Mr Beach House walked through the door the night the oar arrived and nearly fell over when I told him I bought it. Now I para phrase here, but he said something like. 'You bought it? I see these floating around Pittwater all the time.'  I replied through gritted teeth, 'Well when you do honey bun, why don't you pick one up.  I've been talking about oars for a very long time now darlin' heart.'ARRRGH!!!!! 

Now no frangipani table scape is complete without some blue glass.  You've seen my Ikea's before, but the taller bottle, I picked up at the local charity shop this morning, on my daily walk through.

This little fish dish was sourced on the same visit.  I am always amazed at what people throw out. But lucky me.
