My favourite antique store has been decked out in red for Christmas. This is Rust in Avalon and it is worth a trip up here to paradise, just to lose yourself in this beautiful place.
Co owners Liz and Michael, have gorgeous bespoke antique furniture and wonderful vintage and retro props to make your home sparkle.
I know when I am decorating my own home or advising clients when styling their's, that I try at all costs to avoid that 'Domain look'. I believe that if a trend has made it into the Domain catalogue then it is time to move on. Well you won't find any of those over produced looks here at Rust, it's pure bespoke.
Now of course my visit to Rust was made even more eventful, when I came across the same split cane daybed I found on the side of the road for nix a few weeks ago. Oh sheer happiness....So which ever way you look at it, after a visit to Rust you will walk away smiling.
