Celebrating December

My Mum turned up at the Beach House last weekend with this stunning vintage linen cloth and these lovely hydrangeas.  Our family has many anniversaries  in December, some happy and some sad. Not least of which, is my parents' 50th wedding anniversary.  This cloth was a wedding present to them, which, assuming it was new in 1961, is 50 years old this month.  I love the vintage feel of this tablescape and I think I will let the pictures speak for themselves.  Except to say the little silver jug was a wedding present to Mr Beach House and I, 10 years ago this month.  Wow December is so hectic!!!!! I'm dropping hints all over town about this anniversary, so we shall see what is the result of my not so subtle public musings at the Beach House.  I have to say I don't hold out much hope though!!!!

I have a new tablescape tab at the top of my sidebar.  It has lots of tablscaping ideas including one for Christmas from Ikea for under $20. Why not check it out?  Hope your week is travelling well!!!!!!!

Today I am partying here

  13. I like your place settings with the 2 plates and lovely china. We have a similar table cloth and I'm crazy about it! It never looks bland because it has texture and you can layer it with other white pieces. And the flowers really top it off :)
