Online Dating....... Northern Beaches Bloggers Do Lunch

Hi Beach House Babes!!! Hope you are all well and ready for an interesting installment from the Beach House.
I missed out on online dating.  Mr Beach House was parking his slippers at the end of my bed well before that craze took off.  Pity, cause I think I would have been good at it.  I mean I'm a good listener and I have no problem talking about me.  I reckon I would have liked it alot. And if you got a phone call later, I guess that would have felt a bit like I do when I get a nice comment from you fabulous people.  Oh soooooo good!!!!

Well I had a taste of what might of been today, when I welcomed these two lovely girls to the Beach House.  I met these girls online and we kind of had a date.  I fooffed the house to within and inch of its life and took a little extra care with my own appearance......although looking at the only printable photo of me today, might make you think twice about that....but I did try!!!!

I did a very simple tablescape, as I wasn't sure whether we would eat inside or alfresco.  I  dressed up a little vintage caddy I've had for a million years, so I could easily move it to where we would be.

I made some sautéed mushrooms with grilled haloumi and sour dough.  Believe me, it wasn't about the food.

Oh no no no, it was about some like minded girls getting together and you guessed it, talking the how tos of blogging.  Sonia of Life Love and Hiccups is so bubbly and generous of spirit.  She has only been blogging for 6 months, but is very computer savvy and was showing us a few things including her fabulous media kit.  No wonder the sponsors are knocking on her door already...Go girl
Mel from Georgica Pond was glowing and looking stunning in what I think is her signature colour, blue.  She has renovated a beautiful cape cod house on the beaches and it is looking fabulous.

They both bought beautiful white flowers, which was very generous.  Sonia, this lovely hydrangea.  How did she know I have wanted one of these for ages.  It will be staying in a pot so it stays white.  I love it!!!!!  Mel brought a beautiful white orchid, which I shall show you next time.  Absolutely stunning and way too generous as well.

The Beach House Brat made an appearance as she didn't get a better offer today.

We vowed to do it again soon.  I encourage anyone to make contact with their local bloggers, if you aren't already.  It can be lots of fun.  If you are a Northern Beaches Blogger who would like to join in next time, email me and I'll let you know when we next catch up.  When you throw your hat in the ring, you never know what you're going to get it.  If this is online dating, well I'm a convert.

Today I am partying here

  2. No online dating for me, either (I've been married 23 years), but I did meet my best friend online :), and some of my closest friends grew out of online friendships.

It sounds like you had a lovely day.

  9. Online dating...now I'm smiling. I missed that process by at least thirty years. Your caddy, ready to dine in or al fresco, was a perfect choice. Looks like you all had a marvelous day. Thanks for inviting us to the table. Cherry Kay

  10. Looks like a nice lunch and get together. I have relatives who live up in the northern beaches. I don't get up that way very often, but it is a very lovely part of the world. Love the Pittwater.

    Have a lovely week.

    Kelly
