Flowers in a Vintage Jug

Good Morning Beach Dwellers and top of the morning to you.

I am all inspired about Christmas blogging finally and after my annual Christmas trip to IKEA yesterday, I am armed and ready to make an advent calendar this week.

When I indicated I was stuck for inspiration, the lovely girls over on my facebook page, provided lots of ideas for treats of the non sugar variety, to go into the calendar, so thank you very much for that.

But my Christmas series is yet to start, so today I offer you a pretty vintage jug bearing flowers.

I love it when friends come to lunch and it's not just for their wonderful company either.  They bring beautiful bouquets as well.

The white flowers in this jug are still going and the luncheon was almost 2 weeks ago.  I don't know what they are called, but they sure are the gift that keeps on giving.

I was unable to sell this jug at my vintage sale, either as a kettle (which was not advised, even though she comes with a made over cord) or a vase.

Unfortunate, because I think she is beautifully stylish.  Perhaps not selling her was for the best.

Also we have gardenia.  Is this not one of the most beautiful creations of all time?  My back garden is full of them right now and I hope this heavy rain we are experiencing in Sydney, does not completely knock them out.

Well I am off to get the ball rolling this Monday morn.  Kids need to be at band, lunches made and I have a date at the gym with a cross trainer.  Trust you have a great week, even if you are starting with some Mondayitis like me.

If you are looking for some easy Christmas inspiration,  on a budget, you might like to take a peek here.

I shall be adding to the series across the season. so stay tuned.

Tonight I am sending out my newsletter.  I will  be adding an archived Christmas craft, recipe or make over during the season to the usual format, so you may like to sign up here for that.

If you would like Desire Empire posts to come straight to your inbox every ten days or so, you can sign up here for my Newsletter.
