I Stand For Mercy #IStandForMercy

Hello Beach Dwellers

I am devastated that these executions are moving rapidly forward like a train wreck.  Putting these men to death in such a brutal and cruel way, far outways their crime, which was grave indeed, but they have paid with a decade of incarceration and have been reformed and helped others to do the same.

Lets face it we've all done something we are ashamed of.  Forgiveness is liberating.

Please make yourself heard before it's too late, by sharing this message in anyway you can.  If not for them, then for their mothers and families  Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

  1. Im sorry Caroline in this instance I need to disagree...You said this punishment far out ways the crime. I think not. These men went into a country knowing the rules on drug tracking but above all that and most importantly how many people would die from the drugs they had.Yes its sad for the family but think about the familys of drug addicts that die from these drugs.Vicous circle.-love dee x

    1. That's a very cruel way of looking at it. The number of deaths will not change whether they are put to death or not. Execution does not fix the problem. It is just political and so many will suffer as a result. Not just their families but the whole of humanity. I think yours is a very harsh and cold view.

    2. I 100% disagree with the death penalty for any reason at all. It's barbaric and inhumane, and make the punishers as bad as the people being punished. There's no room for capital punishment in a civilised society. Drug trafficking is bad, being the drug kingpins is 100 times worse. Young kids are mules because they are stupid enough to do it. They DO NOT deserve to die.

    3. Yes how many mistakes did we make when we were young? We were just lucky enough to survive them. In many ways that is the only difference between us and these two men. They were bloody stupid and they got caught.

  2. Well said Carolyn, no one deserves to die for such a mistake it makes me sick that this will happen to those boys who have been locked up for such a long time already. The people who will suffer will be their families and not the offenders anyway.

    1. So right. It is a complete waste of two model prisoners and probably citizens if they ever get the chance now. Indonesia is to be congratulated for how they have been able to reform these guys, I guess. I think the Indo government probably don't want to go through with it either now, but do not know how to save face. I reckon if they called it all off they would be held in such high esteem the world over, because it would take a very strong politician and leader to do that.

  3. Maybe but as someone who has experienced the effects of drug addiction resulting in death of a few of my family members and seeing the aftermath of what happens to those left behind it is horrid. -love dee x

    1. Well I am sorry for your loss Dee, but I do wander how killing two reformed men so unwholey related to you, will make your situation any better. The state sanctioned murder of these two men will change nothing except deny other prisoners of the help they have been giving in the programs they have overseen andcreate so much grief for their families. All life is sacred and they have already suffered greatly for their crimes. The brutality which we're being forced to witness is unbearable for me..

  4. The Death Penalty is a barbaric form of punishment . Yes,incarcerate but killing as a state sanctioned punishment should not be tolerated by any country's people. Locked up for Life is a huge penalty . Their lives will never differ. No freedom to sit under a tree when that urge comes , even to breathe in fresh air , not stale ,foul prison air or feel a soft breeze waft across your face or to sit in the soft sunlight and be re-energised by its warmth. Small things but a huge price to pay & a relative one .All that said the grief of those who have lost or are losing someone to the scourge of drugs cannot be denied. Officialdom needs to AGGRESSIVELY go after the Big Wigs of drug offences.Jill

  5. I don't believe in capital punishment. Those men don't deserve to die. I haven't had any relatives or loved ones die from a drug addiction so I can't begin to imagine what those families think. Just as forgiveness is liberating, so is showing empathy for those, like Dee who have been affected by drugs.
