Bum Balinos Cafe Bilgola Beach Sydney

I absolutely love the relaxed atmosphere of Bum Balinos Cafe and the Bilgola Beach views are to die for.  The food and coffee are not bad either. I love escaping down here for a coffee after school drop off, or early on the weekend before the crowd arrives.  Bring your cozzies and take a dip in the surf.  It's a great way to work off any calories taken on at the cafe. The whole place is magical and a visit to Bilgola Beach and Kiosk, will certainly lift your spirits.

This place always has a good crowd.

And the views are sublime.

The egg and bacon roll was a good option at $8.

So here's what you'll need to know:

The vibe: Friendly, relaxed and casual alfresco.

Kid's Menu: No, but plenty of options for kids.

Parking: Ticketed parking in the adjacent council carpark.  There is an overflow car park on the western side of The Serpentine. It gets busy on the weekend.

Public Transport: Yes, Take the L90 from behind Wynyard Station, which stops on Barrenjoey Rd. It's just a short walk down the hill to the beach.

Other attractions: Bilgola Beach and rock pool.  Saturday race club at the pool (details here). Also, have a walk around the streets near the beach, some of the houses are gorgeous.

In general: The cafe is CASH ONLY
Bilgola Beach is one of the nicest beaches in Sydney, so why not make a day of it?

  3. Now then Bilgola is a beach that I do not know at all well. I think I have only ever been there once. Must change that! This cafe looks delightful and I'd never heard of it, thank you for the heads up.

  4. The cash only is ridiculous in 2016 and with the isolation you can't pop over to an ATM. I didn't see any Cash Only signs up so only found out after we ordered. Annoyed.
