I've been mucking around with my mantel. I love India Hicks' rustic coastal style and have tried to achieve that here.

It's all so gorgeous. My favourite part of the collection/display has to be the old yacht xx
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I've been fiddling with my mantel lately, too.... still not sure what I want to do with it.
ReplyDeleteLooks great and a conversation point
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am inspired to go and redo my mantel, I don't have a yacht but I think I might put my old lanterns up there!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling all inspired now......I just need to get myself a mantel ;O)
ReplyDeleteLove India Hicks...love the mantel & it's treasures
ReplyDeleteWow that is amazing. Do you have any neutral baby room ideas and or any boys room ideas!!
ReplyDeleteMy little girl's bedroom reveal is here. http://www.desireempire.com/2012/01/my-little-girls-bedroom-reveal.html
DeleteIt looks lovely, I especially love the driftwood star.
ReplyDeleteI love the little vintage silver pot.You have inspired me for summer coastal vintage.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, I liked the star!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I would love a mantel to play around with. I don't have one, or any space to create one! x
ReplyDeleteI love the mantels. Now just to find my house with the beach view.
ReplyDeleteOh how I dream to be able to put 'things' back in my house, once the kids are older and won't break/throw or stomp on them! Lovely ideas Carolyn. Emily
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic. I am the same as Emily, I can't wait til the kids are a bit older and have my spaces back I can decorate in. The ones I do have get so blimin' dusty so quick, with not much time to dust, but I prevail!
ReplyDeleteA Beautiful mantel masterpiece Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteIs this a vignette ?
Yes Trish it is your classic vignette.
DeleteThanks for our visit to Desire Empire.
Carolyn
Lovely. I adore found objects and collectables mixed in with nature- very nice.
ReplyDeleteLove your vignette. I need to practice mine.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I am a big fan of coastal design so of course I love your mantle. The boat is fabulous and the addition of the shells and driftwood...perfect! Thanks agin for linking to the Open House party.
