The Grounds of Alexandria, A Great Place to get Coffee and a Hit of Visual Splendour

One of the best things about getting out of bed at 6am for Saturday sport, on the other side of Sydney, is that it really gets you out of your comfort zone.  And we all know what that means, when we dare to take a step outside the usual.
You open up endless possibilities and sometimes have some of the most unexpected and best experiences of your life.  And so it was that we stepped outside ours this weekend past and look what we found.  The Grounds of Alexandria.  As usual, I am pretty late to the party, as this one has been open for a while, but I have wanted to go here for a very long time.  So being in the area, I asked Suri to show me the way and this is what we found.  Great food and coffee and a real hit of visual splendour.  It had me thinking, I hope Justin Hermes does something like this with the Newport Arms, because we need a bit more of this kind of hip and cool on the Northern Beaches.  IMO you can never get enough of that.

See you at the bottom for details.  Enjoy the trip down, the colour and movement is fabu.

  1. Lovely shots Carolyn, I must get there again - it's gorgeous. And here's hoping Newport is equally spectactular when it's done.

  4. I agree, fingers crossed that Justin Hemmes does something like this with the Newport Arms! Alexandria is just too far away to visit regularly!
