Aloha
For any of my fellow bloggers in the South Pacific, I sympathise with you. Blogger has been up to her naughty tricks again and many of us have been unable to edit or create new posts for 24 hours. Now in the scheme of things it's a minor glitch, but it has changed the story I was going to bring you. It was going to be about two little girls' beachy bedroom, but that will be next. Today I have put together a little posse of my beachy vignette shots for your viewing pleasure. Now every beach house needs a window seat and this one is where I could see myself basking in the northern sun with a good book and my drink of the minute.
From the same beautiful beach cottage is this lovely driftwood art hand made by my friend's mum. Simply stunning.
I have a little driftwood art project of my own in mind, but at the rate I start and complete projects around here, who knows when we will see the finished product.
I love these driftwood fish as well. So simple and elegant.
Now we move further east towards the Caribbean. These tropical vignettes are from a lovely cafe that I love to frequent.
I think open shelving like this is great for displaying all those kitchen treasures.
I've got lots of old wooden tennis racquets but am on the hunt for the braces, which seem real rare round these parts.
Some succulents from the same cafe.
This is a lovely cottage of a friend, who recently had a visit from Better Homes and Gardens. More on that later.
And my own humble abode. The hydrangeas are faux, but as I mentioned here Mr Beach House didn't come up with any fresh flowers for me this week. I guess he thought the mothers' day perfume was enough....Well he was wrong, bless him!!!! Anyhow, these little babies worked just as well on the day.Funny how when I had no access to blogger. I felt a little toey. Now it's fixed...thanks google.... I'm glad to back in the land of the homilicious.
Have a great week
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteThank fully I didn't have that problem. I think because I use Windows Live Writer it isn't a problem. I don't think I could cope going back to using the blogger way now.

ReplyDeleteReally lovely settings, Carolyn! The driftwood creations are great. And perhaps I'm a bit old school, about faux flowers and plants, but I think your fake hydrangeas are perfect. ;)
