Beach House Tour in Paradise

Hello Beach Dwellers
Have you ever wondered what features make the Australian Beach House completely unique?  It's something I think about lots.  Well this house has them all.
I've found a lovely Beach House for sale on a beach, named Paradise, that we frequent lots in Winter time.  It's a lovely place to throw in a fishing line for the boys, whilst I check out all the real estate.

This house embodies classic Australian Beach House.   Starting with Sydney sandstone foundations, bi fold doors opening straight off the living rooms to large decks over looking the ocean and a minimalist easy care garden.

You can moor your boat out the front as well.  This completes the classic life by the sea experience, being able to walk out your front door and row out to your yacht for a day on Pittwater.

I love the open space in this lovely beach house.  The exposed beams add to the grandeur of the room, which of course is open plan.

This kitchen is also classic Australian, with clean lines, an island bench and bar stools, making it an entertaining hub.

The floor boards and fans are other must haves in the Australian climate.  Sandy feet are also rather common round these parts, so the floor boards allow for easy cleaning. I am always hosing sand out of the shower and sweeping it up on the floor.  Many Beach Homes in Australia have outdoor showers, so you can rinse it off before you come inside.

Bifold doors opening onto decks from the living room, is also very sort after in an Australian Beach House.  People eat most meals outside during the warmer months.

It is not unusual for outdoor furniture to spill out onto public land as well, so the surroundings of the home can be enjoyed.

High ceilings and fans are again a feature of the bedrooms in this lovely home.  Cool whites and neutrals convey that casual beach look.

Blue and white is also another classic Beach house combo here

Frameless glass showers and mirrors, above vanity basins and heated towel rails are all part of the Australian Beach House genre. Louvre windows and open shelving complete the beach house look.

This house is located on Paradise Beach complete with its own shark netted pool.  Ahhhhh the shark, another  Australian Beach classic.

If you would like to know more about this house and view her floor plan, it is currently for sale and open for inspection tomorrow  You can view more details here.

  8. Gorgeous home! I love Sydney sandstone.

The only disappointing part is the power lines marring the outside view!
