Beach House goes Troppo in Pink and Blue

The weekend caused four serious cases of cabin fever at the Beach House.  The weather was hideous, so what's a girl to do?  I'll tell you...... get the family out for breakfast at 7.30am, walk down to the beach... pack it in, due to foul weather and come home and search the house and my files high and low for photographic subject matter.  Here's what I found.  I'm loving tropical pink and blue today it seems. All very sensual South Seas.

Not tropical flowers I grant you, but these are the only respectable flowers my Autumnal garden could produce after heavy rain.
Now when the weather is like this down at the beach,

and the beach is practically bare, except for the odd die hard

Check out the high tide mark.  Yikes!!!

I always feel that putting a few beachy bits together, today in pink and blue, is just what is required to get things going.

I can feel the temperature rising already.

And then a bright spark in an otherwise wet weekend.  My little girl got invited to her first birthday party.  Of course she has been to birthday parties before but this invite, she snaffled all on her own.  That's right, she was put on the official guest list by the birthday girl.  Wow!!!! a milestone that I think deserves just recognition!!!! Am I mad!!! Well just a little.  We are in the tropics after all, here at the Beach House this weekend.

Now we are about to brave the great outdoors again.  There's a break in the weather and we are off to an indoor outdoor art exhibition.  Yes I think we really are mad. Us sooky Sydneysiders just can't function properly in the rain.

Hope it's a little dryer where you are right now.
Best Carolyn

  1. Love the tropical prints! The idea of hanging them from clothes pins is a nice touch too. The retro looking Coke bottles are sweet with flowers in them. Always fun to visit your blog.
